Tense are combination of three main kinds: 

• Present Tense

• Past Tense

• Future Tense

Present means any work that is doing presently. Example: He is doing his homework. In this sentence, He is a person who is doing homework in present time.

Past means past. Elapsed time is called past. Example: He was eating food. 

Future means coming up. Example: He will be eating bananas.

Every tense is further divided into 4 categories:

• Indefinite

• Continuous

• Perfect

• Perfect Continuous
